Dear Everyone,
I hope your new year is off to a healthy and tranquil start. I am guilty of letting our website peeter out; we’ll have to begin working on another “reunion” at some point.
I am writing today to give you news concerning one of our classmates, and more importantly her brother, whom many of us might remember. Mary Ellen Fiore’s brother, Joey, who was a senior when we were freshmen, was suddenly diagnosed with a rare form of Adrenal Cancer. This happened at Christmas time. He then developed pneumonia which delayed treatment and further diagnosis. Mary Ellen has been writing, and I feel compelled to reach out to all of you for prayers. When something like this occurs, one feels so helpless. We turn to prayer in the hope of bringing God closer to our situation to make a difference if possible.
Please pray for miracles, pray for life, and guidance, for understanding, and strength. Joey has 9 children. They need him, and he needs them. Mary Ellen needs you. Thank you. If you, or your syblings knew Joey, please let them know too. I will keep you informed as much as I can.
