How happy I am to be doing this after 30 years.
I met my husband, Stefano, while doing post-graduate work in Florence Italy. We were married in 1987 and presently live in Long Valley, NJ, although we hope to return to Italy one day and never return! Its the food!! Well, you see I enjoy cooking. After many years in the publishing and advertising business, I took my artistic skills to a new level and after obtaining a degree in pastry, began my own business. It can be stressful, but sweet!
Stefano works in the advertising field and regularly commutes into NY. His family remains in Italy, and when we can we get back to visit them.
Our children are very much involved in sports. They love their soccer, track, baseball, and karate. They like to do anything that keeps them in motion! I try to stay active by exercising regularly and in about 2-3 years may find myself testing intensely for my black belt, Kiddingly, I say it will be while in a wheelchair! Lets hope not. Other than that I keep very busy in a number of ways including gardening, church and school activities, and now planning a very special reunion! It is a full schedule!
I cant wait to be reacquainted with everyone. So many years, so many tales! See you in the Fall! |

School Story: |
|
The best times were the times after school: hanging around the track during meets and practices, rehearsals for musicals, cheerleading practices, of course the games, matches (remember the strobe lighting and music: we will rock you-before the wrestling matches?) remember the championship basketball game senior year at Morris County College-the green wave? I remember because I dropped the basketball during our half time cheer..and it went rolling down the court! I remember getting lost somehow after a baseball game we really were not suppose to be at-who was there with me and what were we doing? I remember Spanish Club and fun with Miss Reeves and Mrs. Herbst ... and John Byrne knocking out his front teeth when he flew into their radiator! He tortured us with those teeth from there on in-how are those teeth now, John? I remember John OConnell as Oliver: he was so cute, you just wanted to pick him up and squeeze him to death. Great voice! I remember the disco, and our Gym Shows with- what was her name? I remember my first pep rally as a varsity cheerleader: I did my first down to the floor split without warming up and couldnt walk for 2 weeks afterwards!
... and then there was detention senior year for driving down the shore instead of taking the bus with the rest of the school-having a book thrown at me during math class for talking-I hated math: and am still struggling with my childrens homework. Just isnt the way it used to be!
I remember typing 101-amazing ...the sulphur smell in the science hall every spring and the antics of that science teacher, the one with the mustache and raspy voice.
But I always told Mr. Poggi that I wanted to be a wrestler, and guess what? Now I do it and even though I am still, lets say a featherweight, I can throw a 200+ pound man! Years from now I may pay for it however! Great memories! |

The way we were: 1978!

Giordan, 6, karate champion!

Stefano and Cristian, 9.

Giordans the man with the EveryReady inner battery.
There is always something up his sleeve!

While I made cookies, they made the decorations!

My sweetheart, Vittoria, 15 1/2, and my mother-in-law, Franca who we visited in Italy this past summer.

Being the photographer, I rarely get into the pictures. Now you have to guess where I am--this is my 25th college reunion last summer.

Got cake? I completed this 2 weeks ago 3/08, for a 16th birthday celebration. It is entirely made out of sugar. The cake is white with italian buttercream. It took two weeks to make!

Well, I couldnt leave out mom...

my larger vegetable garden: broccoli, zucchini, summer squash, tomatoes, cucumbers, pumpkins, gourds, sweet peppers, basils, thyme, dill, cilantro, onions, swiss chard, sage...flowers

getting that compost in...what a job!

the first borage blossom!

Tomatoes are a hit or miss thing. I plant a variety and start them from seed in my basement. some do well, others will not for some strange reason.

My weed buddy, Cristian. I swear we grow more weeds and rocks than anyone this side of the Mississippi!

I LOVE FIGS!

Tarragon: I grow as many herbs as possible.
I love to cook with them!

Roses and I never got along before I found these cottage roses which do their thing all summer long. Except for some very determined japanese beetles, they have no problems!

Around the pool grows a variety of flowers that took awhile to develop, but now have taken over and grow into one another pretty well.

and the broccoli we ate tonight-yum!

Getting the Yearbook out...the excitement builds at Marcia’s house!

Best Buddies! Marcia, Linda and I

Don’t they look great!!!??
Karen and Mary Ellen sharing many laughs.
